Machine Operator

Location: Green Bay, WI    Type: Full Time   Shift: Multiple    Wage: Based on Experience

Now hiring entry level and experienced Machine Operators for all shifts:

  • 3 days – 12-hour shifts (3 Days On / 4 Days Off)
  • 4 days – 10-hour shifts
  • 5 days – 8-hour shifts
  • Opportunities available to work 36 hours and be paid for 40 hours

Snapshot: Machine Operators are responsible for all aspects of operating a bag-making machine with in-line printing presses. Duties include assisting with machine set-up, adjusting to maintain product quality and consistency, packaging product produced by the machine and performing periodic visual and system-based quality inspections to insure proper and consistent adherence to quality standards and customer specifications.

3 days on 4 days off

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Monitor machine operation and packaging product accurately and timely
  • Enter quality checks on the computer
  • Clearly communicate with supervisors and team members
  • Maintain a clean workspace

Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent
  • General computer knowledge
  • General safety knowledge
  • Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively

Machine Technician

Location: Green Bay, WI    Type: Full Time   Shift: Multiple   Wage: Based on Experience

Snapshot: Machine Technicians are responsible for the prompt setup and ongoing changeovers required for job orders to produce product on converting equipment.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Prompt setup of paper converting equipment
  • Troubleshooting machinery for problems and breakdowns
  • Maintaining and repairing production equipment as needed in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures
  • Keeping records of work performed and completing history logs
  • Assuring operation of safe and functionally sound equipment
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies and parts as needed
  • Performing occasional light building maintenance

Requirements:

  • Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Experience in maintenance or related field required in a manufacturing setting
  • Effective in dealing with multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrate a creative approach and problem-solving abilities
  • High value placed on teamwork
  • Ability to read and understand technical reference manuals
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Able to cooperate and communicate well with others
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of production functions
  • Knowledge of converting and/or flexographic printing a plus

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent with minimum one year mechanical and electrical degree

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years’ on-the-job experience with mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Machining and fabrication experience helpful
  • Valid Driver’s license

Material Handler

Snapshot: Material Handlers are responsible for preparing and staging materials for production and shipping functions. This includes, but is not limited to processing, verifying and completing inventory, picking orders, delivering materials to and from the production floor and a variety of other shipping/receiving related tasks.

WCI Material Handler

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for preparing, picking and staging materials accurately and efficiently
  • Scanning inventory items from production floor to finished goods warehouse with accuracy
  • Performing accurate inventory cycle counts
  • Coordinating daily with team members to meet or exceed customer shipment dates and requirements
  • Completing computer entries and documentation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years related warehouse experience
  • Must have general computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Industrial experience and demonstrated knowledge of general safety and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to communicate and work in a team environment
  • Must be well organized, detail and customer oriented
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent

Experience Requirements:

  • Forklift and roll-clamp experience
  • Valid driver’s license

Production Supervisor

Your primary goals include directing, training, disciplining, and assisting manufacturing employees in producing quality product efficiently and accurately.

  • Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees
  • Organizing workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Overseeing and coaching employees
  • Ensuring the safe use of equipment and scheduling regular maintenance
  • Checking production output according to specifications
  • Submitting reports on employee performance and progress
  • Identifying issues in efficiency and suggesting improvements
  • Training new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
  • Enforcing strict safety guidelines and company standards

 

Requirements:

  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem-solving skills

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
