Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Location: Green Bay, WI    Type: Full Time   Shift: Weekdays (M-F 8am-4pm)  Wage: Starting at $19, Based on Experience

As shipping & receiving clerk, you’ll be responsible for working with the Warehouse Manager to maintain the flow of goods and services through the entire company. Work with a TMS and ERP system to schedule and enter shipments including UPS, USPS, FedEx, LTL, and full truckloads. You will also maintain inventory levels of finished product as well as setup and monitor delivery appointments for raw and finished goods.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing delivery appointments with carriers or 3PL’s to maintain flow of inbound/outbound goods
  • Receipting all finished goods and raw materials accurately while effectively utilizing available space
  • Coordinating daily with internal personnel to meet customer shipment dates and requirements
  • Coordinating an efficient warehouse workload while helping to optimize the daily workflow
  • Performing cycle counts on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis and reconciling the accounting records to the finished goods and raw material lots
  • Helping with the loading and unloading of inbound/outbound goods as needed
  • Distributing incoming deliveries to the correct departments in a timely manner
  • Enforcing all company and customer-required safety policies and procedures. Ensuring proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bringing any safety problems to the attention of the Warehouse Manager
  • Maintaining a well-organized warehouse, providing a safe, clean environment
  • Performing any special assignments or projects as requested by the Warehouse Manager or members of the leadership team

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, well organized, detail and customer oriented
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Capable of operating equipment as needed: Lift truck, roll clamp and standup picker experience preferred, will train if needed
  • Knowledge of an ERP and TMS system, preferred but will train right candidate
  • Ability to problem solve and make smart business decisions based on the information at hand
  • Work efficiently under pressure while managing time sensitive tasks
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and complete daily activities based on the shipping schedule
  • Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent

Experience Requirements:

  • Forklift and roll-clamp experience, preferred but can train
  • Valid driver’s license
