Set Up/Change Over Tech

Location: Green Bay, WI

Type: Full Time

Shift:

  • A Shift (Mon – Thurs 4am-4pm)
  • B Shift (Mon – Thurs 4pm-4am)

Wage: up to $30/hr, depending on shift & experience.

  • NO rotating – straight shift
  • 3 days off EVERY week

For more than 40 years, Wisconsin Converting, Inc. has been producing and supplying our customers with high-quality paper bags to fit their every need. We’re looking for individuals to join our team, who will continue to provide the premium product, our customers have come to expect from WCI.

Snapshot: As a set up/change over tech you’ll be responsible for the efficient set up of paper bag making equipment. Performing multiple set ups or change overs per shift and troubleshooting any issues or breakdown of equipment throughout the shift. A set up/change over tech is also a key player in the daily cleaning and care of converting equipment to maintain optimum efficiencies.

 

As a Set Up/Change Over Tech you will:

  • Contribute to WCI’s culture of accountability, reliability and continual growth, where people are our greatest asset.
  • Join an established team serving about 20 pieces of equipment and report daily to the Maintenance Manager
  • Perform prompt set ups and change overs of paper converting equipment
  • Provide general cleaning and care of converting machines and equipment
  • Identify, monitor, and perform minor troubleshooting for problems and breakdowns
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and history logs
  • Assure operation of safe and functionally sound equipment

Position Requirements:

  • Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Effective in dealing with multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrate a creative approach and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to read and understand technical reference manuals
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Able to cooperate and communicate well with others
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Understanding of basic math, fractions and decimals. Ability to accurately use and read a measuring tape.
  • Knowledge of production functions

Experience Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience as a machine operator required.
  • Knowledge of converting and/or flexographic printing a plus

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
