Handled Shopping Bag Changes – Effective Immediately
The recent weather disaster in Texas has caused a major supply disruption for adhesives manufacturers nationwide. This unfortunate and unforeseen event directly impacts WCI and our handled shopping bag supplier. It causes major, immediate changes to our handled shopping bag offering:
Effective Immediately:
- Any custom printed shopping bag orders will be manufactured without handles installed. This effort greatly reduces adhesive usage and allows our supplier to maximize their output of bags during a time where product is already in limited supply.
- WCI will have a limited supply of stock handled shopping bags available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis. We will not be bringing in stock product without handles (meaning, after our current supply of bags with handles is depleted, we will not have stock shopping bags until further notice).
- Our customer service team will reach out to any customers with open custom printed orders. Any custom printed orders currently in house will have the choice of being manufactured without handles – or being canceled.
- We will continue to help coordinate any custom printed orders of 6m or more – without handles – with a $10/m discount from current published prices.
- No purchase orders for bags with handles will be accepted until further notice. This issue is expected to continue for the foreseeable future and we will advise if/when we are able to accept orders for handled bags again.
- Our updated price book will be updated and posted on our website by end of day today indicating these changes.
