Since 1987, distributors have been coming to Wisconsin Converting Inc. (WCI) for quality paper bags and outstanding customer service. In January 2011, WCI will launch a new brand image including a logo, tagline and website. The tagline “People Packaging Solutions” reinforces the company’s commitment to providing packaging solutions with a personal touch.

WCI is a full-service manufacturer committed to providing a complete line of stock and custom-printed paper bags to distribution partners that serve the retail, pharmacy, foodservice, shipping and industrial markets.

As a solutions-based provider of packaging products, President Rich Bierman says “WCI will focus on utilizing technology to serve its distributor base more efficiently.” The company’s new website contains helpful tools for training salespeople, updating contact information, tracking orders via UPS, requesting pricing, and creating customized brochures. A new online chat tool means customer service is literally at distributors’ fingertips. Over time, additional tools will be added to allow distributors to manage their account, receive instant price quotes and track orders within the system.

“This brand update reinforces who we’ve always been as a company” says Bierman. “We like to say ‘you provide the opportunity, we’ll provide the solution’ and we mean it.” WCI offers a variety of stock sizes and an array of stock colors but as a small company, they have the flexibility to provide custom sizes, colors and case-packing solutions.

On January 1, 2011, WCI will launch its new website and provide customers with an opportunity to take advantage of these tools. The 2011 catalog will also feature the new logo and brand identity. In addition, updated marketing materials will be available in January.

About WCI
Wisconsin Converting Inc. (WCI) was founded in 1987 when John C. Brogan purchased, from Thilmany Pulp & Paper, the 70-year-old bag converting operation that manufactured paper packaging for retail and industrial users. As a manufacturer, WCI sells exclusively through a growing list of over 1,400 packaging distributors in North America. Their manufacturing facility, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, employs approximately 50 people and houses machines for paper bag manufacturing with in-line flexographic printing, post-printing, hot stamping, screen printing, sheer cutting, paper slitting and rewinding.
WCI plays an important role in supplying short and medium-run packaging products to the retail packaging industry. Stock and custom-printed bags are available with one-case minimums for small retailers that would otherwise not enjoy having personalized packaging products. WCI offers a complete line of stock and printed bags including Merchandise bags, SOS bags, Gourmet Bags, Handled Shoppers, Non-Woven tote bags, Rope Handled Shopping Bags and Sani-Liner® trash can liners. In addition, WCI manufactures Eco-Shipper® and Dura-Bag® shipping bags as alternatives to corrugated boxes or padded and poly mailers.
