For more than 40 years, Wisconsin Converting, Inc. has been producing and supplying our customers with high-quality paper bags to fit their every need. We’re looking for individuals to join our team who will continue to provide the premium product our customers have come to expect from WCI.

Snapshot: WCI’s Purchasing and Procurement Coordinator manages our raw material inventory as well as builds and maintains supplier relationships. Oversees materials and product through the full supply chain while utilizing their cost saving strategies to improve the company’s bottom line. Possesses the ability to evaluate costs, inventory turns, and forecasting using our ERP system and generating creative approaches to continuous improvement.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining corporate inventory objectives to support production schedule
  • Creating and issuing timely purchase orders and ensure proper procedure is followed
  • Coordinating with Warehouse and Production to ensure materials arrive in a timely fashion
  • Verifying correct materials are assigned for scheduled production
  • Managing supplier relationships and identify strategic opportunities in cost reduction
  • Identifying and analyzing the cost and usage of raw materials
  • Solving everyday logistical challenges with a creative and analytical approach

Requirements:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word, ERP experience needed, Epicor experience a plus
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • High level analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to create and maintain effective supplier relations
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Creative problem solving and intellectual curiosity

Education Requirements:

  • Secondary degree in supply chain or purchasing or related procurement experience

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of purchasing/inventory management experience preferred but will train a desirable candidate with the right attitude and desire to learn.
