From the e-commerce and medical industries to food service and retail, the need for paper bags today is at an all-time high. For more than 40 years, Wisconsin Converting, Inc. has been producing and supplying our customers with high-quality paper bags to fit their every need. We’re looking for individuals to join our team who will continue to provide the premium product our customers have come to expect from WCI.

Snapshot: WCI’s Plant Superintendent provides leadership, direction, accountability and manages all operation functions including manufacturing, maintenance, materials, quality, and safety. Manages and controls operation budgets and expenses effectively. Assesses and develops current staff and enhances hiring and training initiatives. Oversees daily plant operations ensuring policies and procedures are followed on the floor, quality product is produced while sustaining promise dates and maintaining data integrity.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading WCI’s culture of accountability, reliability, and continual growth, where people are our greatest asset.
  • Effectively dealing with multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Identifying, achieving, and improving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Analyzing reports and using business intelligence tools to make decisions based on data and logic
  • Motivating employees to exceed expectations and place high value on teamwork and servant leadership
  • Driving continuous improvement and optimization of all processes and workflow


  • High level proficiency with Excel and Word, experience with an ERP/MRP system
  • Organizational and leadership abilities with the desire of having responsibility, authority, and the freedom to act independently
  • Ability to perform basic math skills
  • Servant Leadership mentality
  • Self-motivated with a desire to achieve and improve KPIs
  • Strong analytical thinking skills and high degree of intellectual curiosity

Education Requirements:

  • Secondary degree in related field or equivalent training and experience

Experience Requirements:

  • Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment of packaging, paper or printing, preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of process improvement methodologies including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
