Maintenance Technician

Location: Green Bay, WI    Type: Full Time   Shift: Multiple   Wage: Based on Experience

  • Available Shifts: 3 days – 12-hour shifts (3 Days On / 4 Days Off)

Snapshot: Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the prompt setup and ongoing changeovers required for job orders to produce product on converting equipment.

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Prompt setup of paper converting equipment
  • Troubleshooting machinery for problems and breakdowns
  • Maintaining and repairing production equipment as needed in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures
  • Keeping records of work performed and completing history logs
  • Assuring operation of safe and functionally sound equipment
  • Maintaining and ordering supplies and parts as needed
  • Performing occasional light building maintenance

Requirements:

  • Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Experience in maintenance or related field required in a manufacturing setting
  • Effective in dealing with multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
  • Demonstrate a creative approach and problem-solving abilities
  • High value placed on teamwork
  • Ability to read and understand technical reference manuals
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Able to cooperate and communicate well with others
  • Well organized and attentive to detail
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of production functions
  • Knowledge of converting and/or flexographic printing a plus

Experience Requirements:

  • Two years of on-the-job experience with mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Machining and fabrication experience helpful
  • Knowledge of converting and/or flexographic printing preferred
  • Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
  • Experience in maintenance or related field required in a manufacturing setting

Education Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent
  • Electromechanical degree or similar work experience preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License
