We’re looking for individuals to join our team who will continue to provide the premium product our customers have come to expect from WCI.

Snapshot:  WCI’s Controller is responsible for planning and directing the accounting operations of the company across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and optimal performance of the accounting team

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and implement effective accounting strategies, policies, and procedures
  • Prepare, maintain, and report on internal and external financial records and analyses
  • Establish and maintain effective business relations with vendors, outside auditors, and regulators
  • Supervise accounting personnel and ensure optimal performance
  • Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures, and budgeted expenses to actual expenses; makes or oversees adjustments to future projections and budgets as necessary
  • Collaborate with the President and other executives to coordinate planning and establish priorities
  • File annual corporate tax return and tax planning throughout the fiscal year in conjunction with the accounting firm
  • Consolidate and accumulate all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results
  • Complete month end closing procedures and related reports
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor progress of current initiatives, and track additional opportunities
  • Serve as the back up to Human Resources Manager regarding benefits administration payroll processing as necessary
  • Support President and upper management with special projects
  • Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Proficient accounting computer applications and database knowledge
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation a plus

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in financial management required
